In addition to supplying a part of the country's food need through imports, dadar company has always committed to the development of domestic production by using the world's modern knowledge and technology. We are trying to produce high quality products, by increasing production efficiency and reducing water consumption, that can compete with imported products in terms of price and quality, and can help to reduce imports. Also, we are going to allocate a part of production capacity for export products (such as pistachios), to compensate a part of the outgoing currency, that uses for the import of raw animal products and Livestock feeds.
In fact, dadar company has started activity in this field since 2018, by purchasing about 29 hectares of agricultural land in the suburbs of Tehran. The following activities have been carried out in this field during 2018-2021:
- Obtaining initial permits for electricity and water supply, and implementation of the electricity supply system to the land
- construction of a water storage pool and pumping station
- implementation of drip irrigation system in 7 hectares of land
- obtaining the planting and cultivate permits in 7 hectares of lands, and implementation of drip irrigation system in that area
- planting various trees (mainly pistachio) in an area of 5 hectares and the cultivation of 2 hectares of barley and livestock corn
Also, obtaining the planting and cultivate permits in the rest of the land, and a license to build a greenhouse complex, are in progress.
According to the plan, after obtaining the necessary permits, completing the infrastructure facilities, and planting the remaining trees, totally 27 hectares will be cultivated, and finally at the end of 2026, we will reach to maximum production capacity.
